Biography:

Born William Jacob O'Donnell, June 2, 1916, in Baltimore, Maryland. Son of Joseph F. and Mary K. (McCormick) O'Donnell. Attended St. Mary's Star of the Sea parochial school; Loyola Blakefield High School, 1933; Loyola College, A.B., 1937; University of Maryland School of Law, 1941. Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1941. Catholic. Married Nancy Teresa Daniels. Six children: Nancy O'Donnell; Kathleen O'Donnell; William D. O'Donnell; Maureen O'Donnell; Eileen O'Donnell; Dennis O'Donnell. Died April 2, 1976.

Assistant State's Attorney, Baltimore City, 1946-1950. Assistant City Solicitor, Baltimore City, 1950-1951. Special Assistant to U.S. Attorney, 1951-1952. Private practice, 1952-1962. State's Attorney, Baltimore City, 1962-1964. Judge, Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, 1964-1974. Judge, Court of Appeals, 1974-1976.
