Biography:

Born March 22, 1908, in Washington, D.C. Attended Prince George's County public schools; Georgetown University; National University Law School. Member of Maryland and
District of Columbia Bars. Married. Died January 17, 1965, in Washington, D.C. Buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

Member Maryland State Senate, Prince George's County, 1955-65. Senate Majority Leader, 1963-64. Chair, Banking, Insurance and Social Security Committee, 1955-56; Veterans and Civil Defense Committee, 1957-62; Finance Committee, 1963-64. Member, Interstate Commerce Commission on the Potomac River Basin, 1957-65; commission to study election laws, 1962; reapportionment study commission. Served in the U.S. Navy, World War II, 1941-46. Hyattsville City Attorney, 1932-39. Prince George's County State's Attorney, 1939-41. Appointed Special Prosecutor in 1947. Member, American Bar Assocation; Maryland State Bar Association; District of Columbia Bar Association; American Red Cross; Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department. Past president, Prince George's County Bar Assocation; Prince George's Kiwanis Club; Prince George's County Young Democrats. Commander, American Legion Post 3. Grand Knight, Prince George's County Knights of Columbus Council No. 2809.
