Born in Baltimore, Maryland, April 16, 1957. Attended Western High School, Baltimore; Howard University, B.A., 1978; University of Maryland School of Law, J.D., 1981. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1982.

Judge, Court of Special Appeals, 4th Appellate Judicial Circuit (Prince George's County), since June 20, 2016.

Associate Judge, Prince George's County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, June 7, 2001 to June 2016. Presiding Judge, Juvenile Drug Court Program. Member, Advisory Board, Maryland Mediation and Conflict Resolution Office, 2001-14 (public awareness committee). Member, Juvenile Justice Advisory Council, 2005. Member, Problem-Solving Courts Committee, 2007-08 (drug treatment court oversight committee, 2007-08; truancy court work group, 2007-08), Maryland Judicial Conference.
