Born in Rochelle, I.L., October 21, 1937.  Attended American High School, Sasebo, Japan; Northwestern University, B.A., 1959; Mexico City College; Georgetown University; University of the Andes; Montgomery College; University of Maryland; The Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health, M.P.H., 1985.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Montgomery County, 1975-90.  Member, Environmental Matters Committee.  Special Committee on Drug and Alcohol Abuse.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Political economist.  Businesswoman.  Member, Maryland Historical Trust, Task Force on Hospital Regulations; Board of Directors, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments; Humane Practices Commission; Governor's Commission on Hispanic Affairs; Maryland Ethnic Heritage Commission; Governor's Commission on Gasohol.  Member, Advisory Board, Maryland Association of Deaf; National Conference of State Legislators Task Force on Satellite Remote Sensing; NCSL State-Federal Assembly Transportation and Communications Committee; Maryland Ethnic Heritage Commission.  Legislative representative to the Governor's Commission to Revise the Annotated Code.
