Biography:

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, March 24, 1924.  Attended Baltimore County public schools; Essex Community College; University of Maryland.  Married to Clara D. King; six children. Died February 5, 2010.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Legislative District 6 (D), Baltimore, Harford counties, 1975-2003.  House chair, Joint Committee on Chesapeake Bay Critical Areas, 1984-2003.  Member, Tort and Insurance Reform Oversight Committee, 1993.  Member, Environmental Matters Committee, 1975-2003, vice-chair, 1995-2003.  Member, Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Subcommittee, 1999-2003; Health Subcommittee, 1999-2003; Environmental and Natural Resources Subcommittee, 1995-99; Rules and Executive Nominations Committee, 1995-2003.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served with U.S. Army in South Pacific during World War II.  Masonry contractor.  Member, Chesapeake Bay Commission, 1984-; Migratory Waterfowl Advisory Committee, 1991-; Maryland Recycling Advisory Group, 1995-97.  Member, Fifth District, Fifteenth District, Riverside, Bird River, Norris, Deep Creek and East End Democratic Clubs.  Member, American Legion; VFW; Hawks; Federation of Independent Business Men.
