Born in Los Angeles, California, March 14, 1950.  Attended Fenger High School, Chicago; University of Illinois, B.F.A., fine arts, cum laude, 1973, M.A., fine arts, 1974.  Married; two children.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Legislative District 13A (D), Howard County, 1995-.  Member, Economic Matters Committee, 1995-; Workers' Compensation Subcommittee, 1995-96; Health Insurance Subcommittee, 1996-; vice-chair, Science and Technology Subcommittee, 1999-.  Joint Technology Oversight Committee, 2000-. Chair, Howard County Delegation, 1997-.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Art instructor.  Member, County Council, Howard County, 1986-94; chair, 1989, 1990, 1993.  Member, State Commission on Neighborhoods, 1995-96.
