Born in Long Island, New York, July 16, 1953.  Attended Mount St. Mary's College, B.S., economics, 1975; The American University.  Three children.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Legislative District 15 (R), Montgomery County, 1991-2003.  Member, Economic Matters Committee, 1991-94, 1997-2003; Workers' Compensation Subcommittee, 1997-2003; Real Estate and Housing Subcommittee, 1999-2003; science & technology subcommittee, 2000-2003.  Minority whip, 1995-96.  Member, Appropriations Committee, 1995-96; Public Safety and Administration Subcommittee; Oversight Committee on Personnel; Rules and Executive Nominations Committee, 1995-96; Legislative Policy Committee, 1995-96; Joint Committee on the Selection of the State Treasurer, 1996; Special Joint Committee on Competitive Taxation and Economic Development, 1996-97; Joint Committee on Fair Practices, 1997-98; Joint Advisory Committee on Legislative Data Systems, 1999-2003; Special Committee on Gaming, 2001-2003.  Member, Bi-County Committee, Montgomery County delegation.

Homebuilder.  Board member, Citizens for Fair Representation, 1992.  President, Stepping Stones Homeless Shelter, Rockville, 1994.  Member, Commission on the Future of Maryland Courts, 1995-97; Study Panel to Review Economic Development Financing Programs, 1999; Virginia-Maryland-District of Columbia Joint Legislative Commission on Interstate Transportation, 2000-.  Member, Maryland Building Industry Association.  Received first place, Finest for Family Living, Suburban Maryland Building Industry Association (SMBIA).  Alexandria Civil Neighborhood Revitalization Award.
