Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, August 10, 1947.  Attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, B.S., education, 1969.  Married; two children.

General Assembly:
Member of Senate January 8, 2003 to May 31, 2009. Member, Education, Health and Environmental Affairs Committee, 2003-09 (education subcommittee, 2003-09; environment subcommittee, 2003-09; procurement subcommittee, 2005-06; base realignment & closure (brac) subcommittee, 2007-09; ethics & election law subcommittee, 2008-09; special committee on renewables & clean energy, 2008-09); Joint Committee on Health Care Delivery and Financing, 2003-09; Joint Technology Oversight Committee, 2008; Joint Committee on Children, Youth, and Families, 2008-09.
