House of Delegates, Montgomery County, 1995-99.  Member, Commerce and Government Matters Committee, 1995-99; Transportation Subcommittee.  Member, Special Committee on Rail Mergers, 1997.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Insurance agent, eight years.  Educator, 18 years.  Charter member, Columbia Road Citizens Association; president, 1986-94.  Board of Directors, Diabetes Action Research and Education (DARE), Inc., 1993-.  Delegate, Republican Party National Convention, 1996.  Member, Task Force to Examine the Mortgage Lending Business, 1997.  Member, Montgomery County Chapter, NAACP; Greater Burtonsville Kiwanis.
