Biography:

Born in Jackson, Mississippi, August 26, 1940.  Attended Jackson State University, B.S., 1962; Virginia Union University, M. Div., 1968; Presbyterian School of Christian Education, M.R.E., 1969; University of Pittsburgh, Ph.D., 1974.  Married; three sons. Died March 17, 2022.

Member, Economic Matters Committee, 2003-15 (corporations work group, 2003-06; property & casualty insurance subcommittee, 2003-10; chair, unemployment insurance subcommittee, 2011-15, member, 2003-15; business regulation subcommittee, 2007-15); Special Committee on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, 1995-2015; Joint Committee on Federal Relations, 1999-2015.
