Born in Bronx, New York, August 11, 1932.  Attended Catherine McAuley Academy, Brooklyn, New York; University of Maryland; Loyola College; Cecil Community College.  Married; six children.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Legislative District 35B (D), Cecil County, 1983-94.  Deputy majority whip.  Member, Appropriations Committee, 1991-94; Health and the Environment Subcommittee; Special Joint Committee on Energy Pricing, 1990-91; Joint Committee on the Management of Public Funds; Workers' Compensation Benefit and Insurance Oversight Committee; Joint Committee on Protocol; Joint Expenditure Study Group on Law Enforcement and Transportation; Economic Matters Committee; Tort and Insurance Reform Oversight Committee.  Vice-chair, Eastern Shore delegation.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Member, Governor's Drug and Alcohol Abuse Commission; Interagency Coordinating Council for the Maryland Infants and Toddlers' Program; Susquehanna River Watershed Advisory Board; Governor's Commission on Welfare Policy, 1992-94; Statewide Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council, 1993-97; Infants & Toddler's Program, Office For Children, Youth & Families, 1996-97.
