Born in Colora, Maryland.  Attended Cecil County public schools; University of Maryland, B.S., 1962; University of Maryland School of Law.  Married.

House of Delegates, Cecil County, 1963-70.  Lost election for State Senate in 1970.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Member, Maryland Commission on the Status of Women, 1970s.  Member, Cecil County Young Democrats.  Secretary, Women's Democratic Club.  Vice-president, Young Democratic Clubs of Maryland.  Member, League of Women Voters.  Member and secretary, National Order of Women Legislators; Cecil County Chamber of Commerce; Ladies' Auxiliary of Fire Company; Cecil County Historical Society.  President, College Club of Cecil County.  Deputy commissioner, Division of Labor and Industry, 1979-90.  Assistant secretary, Department of Licensing & Regulation, 1991-95.  Member, Phi Sigma Alpha; Alumni Association, University of Maryland; Women's Club.  Named Outstanding Young Female in Politics in 1963 by Mademoiselle Magazine.  Listed in Who's Who in American Women, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in American Politics, Community Leaders of America, and Two Thousand Women of Achievement.
