Born in Cumberland, Maryland, August 29, 1950.  Attended McDonogh School; Georgetown University, B.S., 1972; University of Baltimore School of Law, J.D., 1975.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1975.  Married; one child.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Allegany County, 1983-87.  Member, Environmental Matters Committee, 1983-87.  Chair, Allegany County Delegation.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
County Administrative Judge, Allegany County Circuit Court, 4th Judicial Circuit, since November 9, 2015 (Associate Judge, June 17, 2002 to November 9, 2015). Member, Legislative Committee, Maryland Judicial Conference, 2004-. Associate Judge, District Court of Maryland, District 12, Allegany County, July 20, 1987 to June 17, 2002. Member, Committee on Civil Procedures, 1997-2000, District Court of Maryland. Member, Judicial Ethics Subcommittee, 1998-2002, and Legislative Subcommittee, 1998-2002, Maryland Judicial Conference.
