Attended Annapolis High School, 1957; University of Maryland, B.A. (government and politics), 1962; University of Maryland School of Law, J.D., 1966. Admitted to the Maryland bar, 1967. Married; three children. Died June 10, 2004, in Annapolis, Maryland. Buried, St. Anne's Cemetery, Annapolis, Maryland.
