Biography:

Born Mabel Evelyn Houze in Detroit, Michigan, December 22, 1936.  Attended Mt. Clemons High School, Mt. Clemons, Michigan; University of Michigan, B.A. (English), 1958; University of Pittsburgh, 1962; University of Pennsylvania, 1969; University of Maryland School of Law, J.D., 1975; National College of Juvenile Justice, University of Nevada, 1979; National Judicial College, 1982.  Admitted to the Maryland bar, 1977.  Married; two sons.  Died December 9, 2006, in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Law clerk to Benjamin L. Brown, City Solicitor of Baltimore City, 1976-77.
Assistant City Solicitor, Baltimore City, 1977-78.

Associate judge, Baltimore City District Court, District 1, 1981-85.
Associate judge, Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit, 1985-99 (retired August 31, 1999)
Member, Maryland State, Baltimore City and Monumental City Bar Associations.
Former English teacher and vice-principal.
