Biography:

Born in Columbia, Mississippi, July 26, 1937.  Attended Globe Academy; Southern University, B.A., 1959; Howard University Law School, J.D., 1962.
Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1970.

Member of editorial staff and notes editor, Howard Law Journal, 1961-62.  Served as a captain in U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, 1962-66
(National Defense Service Medal for foreign service in Pacific area, 1963-66).  Member, Child Support Enforcement Committee, Maryland Judicial Conference, 1997-2000.  Associate Judge, Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit, November 30, 1982 to March 31, 2001 (retired March 31, 2001).  Member, American, Maryland State, District of Columbia, Louisiana and Monumental City Bar Associations.  Maryland 7th Congressional District Award for Community Service; Public Spirit Award for Outstanding Leadership; J. S. Clark Memorial Award for high academic achievement.  Mayor's Citation, Baltimore City, 1998.  Leadership Award, Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Association of Anne Arundel Community College, 1998.
