Biography:

Born in Seattle, Washington, February 24, 1925.  Attended Seattle public schools; University of Washington, B.A., 1945; Syracuse University, M.A (Geography)., 1948.  Married, Gordon C. Hull, 1948; two children. Died October 30, 2003, in Chestertown, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Prince George's County, 1967-78.  Vice-chair, Prince George's Delegation, 1971-74.  Speaker pro tem, 1975.  Member, Legislative Policy Committee.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Geographer.  President, League of Women Voters of Prince George's County, 1962-65.  Vice-president, League of Women Voters of Maryland, 1965-66.  Member, Prince George's County Merit System Study Commission, 1968-69; Executive Committee, Prince George's United Way; Health and Welfare Council,  1970-75.  Member, Board of Directors, Maryland Community Coordinated Child Care, 1971.  Governor's Task Force on Financing Education, 1972.  Chair, Western Prince George's County Transportation Alternatives Study, 1972-73.  Member, Transportation Research Board, National Academy of Sciences, 1976.  Executive assistant to Governor Harry R. Hughes, 1979-85.  Chair, Governor's Commission to Revise the Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Laws, 1985-88.  Member, Maryland Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation; Board of Trustees of the State Universities and Colleges.  Member, Board of Regents, University of Maryland System, 1989-97.  Member, Association of American Geographers; Phi Beta Kappa.
