Biography:

Born March 14, 1916, in New York City. Attended Regis High School, New York City, 1933; Manhattan College, B.A (Business Administration)., 1937; Catholic University of America School of Law, LL.B., 1940. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1956. Catholic. Married Margaret H., 1941. Two children: Bernadine A. Morre; John P. Moore, Jr. Died December 23, 1982, Washington, D.C.

U.S. Naval Reserves, 1944-1946. Chief counsel, U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Privileges and Elections, 1952-1953, 1957-1958. Member, Montgomery County Board of Appeals, 1954-1957; chairman, 1956-1957. Maryland House of Delegates, Montgomery County, 1962-1966. Judge, Montgomey County Circuit Court, 1966-1976. Judge, Court of Special Appeals, 1973-1982.

Chairman, Governor's Commission on Educational Needs of Handicapped Children. Member, Governor's Advisory Commission on Nuclear Energy.  Chairman, Executive Committee, Maryland Judical Conference, 1971-1972. Member, American Bar Assocation; Maryland State Bar Assocation; Montgomery County Bar Assocation; American Judicature Society; Institute of Judicial Administration; U.S. Supreme Court Historical Society; Maryland Bar Assocation. Recipient, Agnes Bruce Greig Award for "Leadership on Behalf of Handicapped Children in the State of Maryland," 1967; John Dubois Medal for Distinguished Public Service, Mt. Saint Mary's College, 1968; Law and Courts Award, Catholic University Alumni Association, 1974; first annual Distinguished Service Award, United Cerebal Palsy Association of Maryland, 1976; E.
