Born in New York, New York, June 11, 1951.  Attended Mary Louis Academy, Queens, New York; Queens College, B.A., 1973; Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America, J.D., 1976.  Admitted to the Maryland bar, 1976.

Associate Judge, Prince George's County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, December 18, 1998 to August 31, 2015. Retired August 31, 2015. Presiding Judge, Adult Drug Court Program, 2002-10. Member, Drug Treatment Court Commission, 2002-06; Bail System Task Force, 2003-07. Co-Chair, Truancy Court Work Group, 2007-08. Chair, Public Defender Regional Advisory Board no. 3 (Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Prince George's & St. Mary's counties), 2009-.

District Public Defender, Prince George's County, 1992-98 (trial attorney, 1976-92). Member, Character Committee, 7th Judicial Circuit, 1994-. Past member, Inquiry Panel, Attorney Grievance Commission. Member, Prince George's County Bar Association (board of directors, 1993-2000); J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association; National Association of Women Judges.
