Born in Washington, D.C., March 31, 1970.  Attended Winston Churchill High School; University of Maryland College Park, B.A. with honors, economics, 1993 (president, student government association); John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, M.P.P., 1998. Married.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Legislative District 39 (D), Montgomery County, 1999-2003. Member, Ways and Means Committee, 1999-2003 (education subcommittee, 1999-2000; children & youth subcommittee, 2001-2003); Joint Committee on Children, Youth, and Families, 1999-2003. Member, Transportation Committee, Montgomery County Delegation, 1999-2003.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Member, Montgomery County School Board Composition Task Force, 2000-. President, Sagres Consulting, LLC, 2000-. Adjunct Professor, University of Maryland, College Park, 2000-. Analyst in taxable fixed-income mortgage sales, Lehman Brothers, New York, 1993-95.  Teacher, New York City public schools, 1996.  Research fellow in domestic micro-enterprise development for U.S. Senator Edward M.
