Biography:

Born in Annapolis, Maryland, July 30, 1947.  Attended Anne Arundel Community College, A.A., political science, 1978; University of Maryland, B.S., business management, 1981.  Married; two children.  Died June 30, 2011, in Crownsville, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Legislative District 33 (R), Anne Arundel County, December 1982, and 1999-2007.  Member, Judiciary Committee, 1999-2003 (gaming law & enforcement subcommittee, 1999-2003); Special Committee on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, 1999-2007; Ways and Means Committee, 2003-07 (education subcommittee, 2003-04; tax & revenue subcommittee, 2004-07). Deputy Minority Whip, 2002. Member, Special Committee on Higher Education Affordability and Accessibility, 2003-04; House Facilities Committee, 2005-07. Vice-Chair, Anne Arundel County Delegation, 2003-07 (legislative network & united black caucus, 2005; chair, federal issues subcommittee, 2005). Member, Maryland Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus, 2001-07; Taxpayers Protection Caucus, 2003-07. House Secretary, Maryland Veterans Caucus, 2004-07.
