Biography:

Born in Worton, Kent County, May 28, 1917.  Attended Kent County public schools; Washington College, A.B., 1937; University of Maryland Law School, LL.B., 1941.  Admitted to the Maryland bar, 1941.  Married to Eleanor Brown; 2 children: George Bacon Rasin III and Gale E. Rasin.  Died December 23, 2011, in Towson, Maryland.

General Assembly:
Member of Senate, Kent County, 1956-60. Democrat. Chairman, Committee on Executive Nominations, 1959 Session.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Army, 1941-43; U.S. Air Force, 1943-45.  Served with European Headquarters of the U.S. Foreign Aid Program, 1950-52; Counter Intelligence Corps, Military Intelligence.  State's Attorney, Kent County, 1955-56.  Judge, Circuit Court, Second Judicial Circuit, 1960-1987.  Chief Judge and Circuit Administrative Judge.  Retired from the bench on May 28, 1987.  Man of the Year Award, Maryland Parole Correctional Association, 1971.  Member, American, Maryland, and Kent County Bar Associations; American Judicature Society; Masons; Lions; American Legion; and Society of Senates Past.
