Biography:

Born Paul Aaron Dorf, in Baltimore, June 29, 1926.  Attended Baltimore public schools; University of Maryland; George Washington University; University of Maryland Law School, LL.B., 1950, J.D.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1950.  Married (1) Rhona Pollack (d. 2008), with whom he had three children; (2) Helene Penn Coplan. Died July 5, 2012, in Baltimore, Maryland.  Buried at Beth Tfiloh Cemetery.

Served in U.S. Naval Air Force, 1944-46.  Assistant City Solicitor, Baltimore City, 1951-59.  Chief Judge, Baltimore City Traffic Court, 1959-60. Member of Senate, District 11, 1961-69; Democrat.. Chair, Joint Committee on Investigation, 1962; Veterans and Civil Defense Committee, 1963-66.  Associate Justice, Baltimore City Supreme Bench, 1968-1983.  Instructor, Constitutional Law, Mt. Vernon School of Law; Instructor, Criminal Procedure, University of Baltimore School of Law, 1974-75; Instructor, Legal Research and Domestic Relations, University of Maryland, 1976-81.  Trial attorney, Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf, Hendler & Sameth, LLC, Baltimore.  Member, American and Maryland Bar Associations; Association of Trial Lawyers of America; Bar Association of Baltimore City; Bar Association of Baltimore County; Nu Beta Epsilon legal fraternity; Law Enforcement Officers Association; Safety First Club of Maryland; Trial Magistrates Association; Masons; Moose; Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity; Yedz Grotto; Advertising Club of Baltimore; Variety Clubs International; Society of Senates Past.
