Biography:

Born in Frostburg, Maryland, November 13, 1905.  Attended Frostburg public schools; Frostburg State Teachers College; honor graduate, University of Maryland Law School, LL.B., 1930.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1930.  Died of kidney failure on April 23, 2001  at Vantage House retirement community in Columbia, where he had lived since 1996.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Allegany County, 1947-69.  Senate, District 1C, 1969-70.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
City attorney for Lonaconing.  City attorney for Frostburg.  President, Allegany County Bar Association.  Member, Maryland State Bar Association; American Judicature Society; Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity; Eagles; Elks; Masons; Shrine; Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Maplehurst County Club.
