Biography:

Born in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, April 23, 1928.  Son of Theodore L. and Mary (Hobbs) Bertier. Attended Anne Arundel County public schools; University of Baltimore, B.S., 1953; University of Georgia; The Johns Hopkins University, C.M.E., 1954. Married; five children. Died May 28, 2003, in Carroll County, Maryland. Buried, Pine Grove Cemetery, Mount Airy, Maryland.

General Assembly:
House of Delegates, Anne Arundel County, 1963-66.  Senate, District 6A, 1967-70.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, 1945-47.  Member, Anne Arundel County Recreation Commission, 1956-62.  Consultant, Bank of Glen Burnie, 1967-70; Member, Board of Directors, 1972-2003. Supervisory Engineer, Westinghouse Corporation, 1954-93.  Member, American Society of Mechanical Engineers; National Society of Professional Engineers; Masons; Boumi Temple of Baltimore; the Western Maryland Shrine Club; the Carroll County Farm Bureau; Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, Millersville, Maryland.
