Caroline Mary Coleman.34. Thomas Coleman II (7) was born on Jun 30 1770 in Newbern, North Carolina. He died on Nov 15 1826 in Maury County, Tennessee. Thomas Coleman came to Maury County around 1809 to take up a grant of 5000 acres that had been given to his father-in-law. He built a fine house, still standing, and plantation near Williamsport, on the Duck River. He was married to Clarissa White about 1791 in North Carolina.

Clarissa White(7) was born on Jan
22 1777 in North Carolina. She died on Jul 13 1852 in Maury County, Tennessee.
All but her last three children were born in North Carolina, before she and
her husband crossed the mountains to Tennessee. It must have been quite a trek
with wagons, slaves, children, and other settlers in tow, using only the most
primitive of roads. Children were:
