918. Richard Moore (174) was born on Sep 12 1670 in Sudbury, Massachusetts. He died on Nov 19 1767 in Oxford, Massachusetts. Richard Moore was a farmer in Needham, Massachusetts, where he was among the original petitioners for its incorporation as a town in 1710. He served there as selectman in 1712, 1713, and 1714. He was also town clerk in 1714.

On Jun 6 1714 he sold his 230 acres in Needham and moved to Oxford, where he bought a house in August and soon became a major landholder, the largest on the south side of town. In Oxford he kept an inn and served as selectman, town clerk, and town treasurer. he was called captain. In 1721 he served as the town's first representative to the General Court and was its first justice of the peace. He was married to Mary Collins.

919. Mary Collins was born on Jun 16 1672 in Middletown, Connecticut. She died on Jul 12 1760 in Probably Oxford, Massachusetts. Children were:

child ix. Mary Moore was born on May 15 1710. She died on May 27 1730.
