was born in 1779 in North Carolina. He died in 1860. Joseph McDowell
Carson was a lawyer and a very successful one. He owned Green River Plantation
in Rutherford County, which is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
He represented Rutherford County in the North Carolina House of Commons in 1812,
1813, 1814, and 1835, and in the state Senate in 1832, 1836, and 1838. In 1835
he was a member of the state convention called to consider amendments to the
state constitution. He was married to Rebecca Carson Wilson.
41. Rebecca Carson Wilson was born
on Oct 20 1790 in Nashville, Tennessee. She died on Jun 13 1840 in Green River
Plantation, North Carolina. Children were:
