Levin Gale (1784-1834)

Biography:

Born April 24, 1784, in Elkton, Maryland.  Son of George and Anna Maria (Hollyday) Gale.  Attened public schools; studied law. Admitted to bar in Cecil County.  Episcopal.  Married Harriet Rebecca Chamberlaine. Four children: Henrietta Maria, Samuel Chamberlaine, Levin, and George Littleton.  Died December 18, 1834, in Elkton, Maryland.

Practiced law in Elkton, Maryland. Maryland State Senate, Eastern Shore, 1816-20. U.S. House of Representatives, 1827-29.
