Daniel Maynadier Henry (1823-1899)

Biography:

Born on February 19, 1823, near Cambridge, Dorchester County, Maryland. Son of John Campbell Henry and Mary (Nevett) Henry. Attended Cambridge Academy; St. John's College, Annapolis: B.A., M.A., 1845. Admitted to the Bar, 1844. Married Henrietta Maria Goldsborough, 1845. Five children: Maynadier; W. Laird; Robert; Charlotte G.; Mary G. Died in Cambridge, August 31, 1899. Buried in Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery.

Practiced law, Cambridge, Maryland. House of Delegates, Dorchester County, 1846, 1849. Maryland Senate, Dorchester County, 1870-1872. U.S. House of Representatives, First District, 1877-1882. Democrat. Visitor and Governor, St. John's College, Annapolis.
