Biography:
Born Ephraim King Wilson on March 15, 1771, near Snow Hill, Somerset (now Worcester) County, Maryland. Son of David and Prissy Winder Wilson. Attended private schools; Princeton, A.B., 1789. Studied law, 1790. Married Sally Handy, December 17, 1799; three children: Mary, Charles L.N., and Ellen Winder. Maried Ann D. Gunby, February 12, 1812; four children: Priscilla, Ann Jane, William Sidney, Ephraim K. (1821-1891). Died on January 2, 1834, in Snow Hill.
Admitted to the bar, 1792.
Practiced law in Snow Hill. Served in House of Delegates, Worcester
County, 1794, 1796-1798, 1800, 1802-1803, 1808-1815, 1817-1818, 1820;
U.S. House of Representatives, Eighth Congressional District,
1827-1831. Presidential Elector, 1804, supporting Thomas Jefferson.
