Biography:

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, 1861.  Son of Simon Lehmayer.  Attended Baltimore Public Schools and the Friends' School.  LL.B., University of Maryland Law School, 1882, graduated with honors.  Admitted to the Bar, September 1882.  Married; one daughter, Henrietta L. Moser. Died, Baltimore, September 5, 1936.

Studied law in the office of Attorney General and U.S. Senator Isidor Rayner; practiced law with Rayner, 1882-1886.  Charter Member, Maryland State Bar Association, 1896-1897.  Democrat, House of Delegates, Baltimore City, District 2, 1900-1901; District 3, 1906-1910.  Appointed to the Supreme Bench, September, 1909; lost election bid, November, 1909.  Chair, Draft Board, 14th District during World War I.  Practiced law in partnership with Herman M. Moser, Judge of the Supreme Bench, 1944-1956, and his son-in-law.  Authored a number of important bills while serving in House of Delegates.
