Isaac Lobe Straus (1871-1946)

Biography:

Born in Baltimore City, March 24, 1871.  Son of William Henry Straus and wife, Annette Lobe.  Jewish.  Attended Baltimore City College; The Johns Hopkins University, 1890; University of Maryland School of Law, 1892.  Married Florence Ridgely.  Died in Brooklandville, Baltimore County, February 4, 1946.  Buried in Har Sinai Cemetery, Baltimore City. 

House of Delegates, Baltimore City, 1902. Attorney General, 1907-11.

General Counsel to the Board of Supervisors of Elections for Baltimore City, 1900-01. Member, Burnt District Commission of Baltimore City. Special Counsel for the State of Maryland relating to the B&O Railroad Company. Delegate, 1908 Democratic National Convention in Denver. Unsuccessful candidate for the U.S. Senate in 1914.
