IMMIGRATED: in 1638, probably as a free adult.
RESIDED: in St. Mary's County.
MARRIED first, Mary. MARRIED second, Elizabeth. She subsequently married ca. 1664 Thomas Wynn.

STATUS AND ACTIVITIES: called servant of Leonard Calvert (ca.
1606-1647), but probably his assistant, 1644; left Maryland briefly
with Calvert in 1646 and then assisted him in regaining the province;
steadily acquired property after 1653; Mr., by 1650.
