IMMIGRATED: in 1647 as a free adult.
RESIDED, in St. Mary's Hundred, St. Mary's County.
MARRIED Anne.
CHILDREN. SONS: Philip; Thomas; and William. 

PRIVATE CAREER.
EDUCATION: illiterate.
RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION: probably Catholic.
SOCIAL STATUS AND ACTIVITIES: Called Mr. occasionally after arrival; sons held no significant offices. 
OCCUPATIONAL PROFILE: attorney; planter; ordinary keeper, 1658. 

PUBLIC CAREER.
LEGISLATIVE SERVICE: Lower House, St. Mary's Hundred, St. Mary's County, 1650-1650/51 (Laws 1; Accounts 1).
LOCAL OFFICES: undersheriff, St. Mary's County, 1648-1649; sheriff, St. Mary's County, 1649-1650; constable, St. Mary's Hundred, St. Mary's County, 1658.

WEALTH DURING LIFETIME.
LAND AT FIRST ELECTION: at least 500 acres by 1650; at least 1,500 acres by 1651.
WEALTH AT DEATH. DIED: by March 1658/59.
