Died Tues morning last, Col. Baker JOHNSON of this town, who during
15 months of severe indisposition preceding his death, suffered every poignant
extreme of excruciating pain; he was a native of Calvert County, but immigrated
early in life to Frederick, where he entered into the profession of the
law. He marched at the head of his regiment during Rev. War, then resumed
his vocation a the Bar. (very long obit.)

& Casandria his wife, Caleb SWAIN & Mary his wife, Samuel HUGHES,
John ELLIOTT & Rachel his wife, Edward BROOK and Margaret his wife,
Caleb JOHNSON and John LUCHER and Casandra his wife. Object of bill is
to obtain decree for conveying to the complainants as executors of the
last will of Jesse HUGHES, part of a tract called Rich Hill, which Richard
HOLLAND on 6 March 1785 gave bond to convey to William WOOD who assigned
the same to said Jesse HUGHES. Richard HOLLAND has died inestate and the
land descended to his representatives a part of whom the above named defendants
reside out of the state.
