Charles Goldsborough (1707-1767)

Biography:

Born June 26, 1707, in Talbot County, Maryland.  Son of Robert and Elizabeth (Greenberry) Goldsborough.  Studied the law.  Married 1.) Elizabeth Ennalls (d. by 1739), July 18, 1730 and 2.) Elizabeth Dickinson, August 2, 1739. Three children: Elizabeth (c. 1731-1820), Robert (1733-1788), and Charles (1740-1769). Died July 14, 1767, in Dorchester County, Maryland.

Lawyer and office holder. Lower House, Dorchester County, 1751-62. Upper House, Dorchester County, 1763 and 1765-66. Governor's Council, 1762-67. Commissary general, 1764-67. Clerk, Dorchester County, 1728-38.
