Born: October 19, 1722, in Queen Anne's County; eldest son.
Native: Fourth generation.
Resided: Queen Anne's County; Fredericktown, Cecil County, by 1752.
Died: Will probated on December 19, 1787, in Cecil County.

Father: James Earle, Jr. (ca. 1694-1739).
Mother: Mary (1702- ca. 1736), daughter of Richard Tilghman (1672/73-1738/39).
Stepmother: Sarah Crapp Chetham.
Uncles: William Tilghman (1711-1782); Edward Tilghman (1713-1786); James Tilghman (1716-1793); and Matthew Tilghman (1717/18-1790).
Aunts: Elizabeth Earle (ca. 1694-?), who married William Turbutt (1683/84-1739); Henrietta Maria Tilghman (1707-1771), who married first, George Robins (1697-1742), and second, William Goldsborough (1709-1760); and Anna Maria Tilghman (1709-1763), who married first, William Hemsley (1703-1736), and second, Robert Lloyd (ca. 1712-1770).
Brothers: Richard (1727-1728); Richard Tilghman Earle (1728/29-1788); Joseph (1732-1732); and James (1734-1810).
