DASHIELL (DASHIEL, DASHIELD), JAMES (ca. 1634—1697).
BORN: Ca. 1634 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
IMMIGRATED: in 1663/64 with his wife and son from Northumberland County,
Virginia. RESIDED: in Somerset County.
MARRIED in 1659 Ann, daughter of Edward Cannon.
CHILDREN.
SONS: James (ca. 1660—1708/9), a justice of Somerset County from
1699 to 1708/9, who married first, by 1690 Mary (1667—?), daughter of Sampson
Waters, and second, in 1698 Isabel (1675—?), daughter of George Mitchell;
Thomas Dashiell (1666—ca. 1756), who married in 1686 Elizabeth (1670-?),
daughter of George Mitchell; George (1669—1733), who married in 1694 Priscilla
Mitchell; and Robert (1677—1718), who married ca. 1700 Sarah Haste.
DAUGHTERS: Katherine (1672— 1696), who married in 1692/93 William Jones;
Jane (1675—?), who married in 1696 John Winder.
