The which cause was contd from Court to Court untill this prsent Court & now here at this day
vizt. ye 28 day of Novemr. Annoq Dd. 1701 came as well ye Said Defendt. by his Said Attry
as alsoe ye Said Plaintf. by his Afsd. Attry and ye Said Cause Standing for Tryall ye plaintf. Decln
Kent County    Ss    Patrick Creagh otherwise Called Patrick Creagh of Said County Merchant
in Maryland             was Sumoned to Answer unto John Dubrois of Kent County in ye Province
                               of Pensilvania Merchant of A plea that he render unto him ye full & Just
                               Sume of Seaven pounds fourteen Shillings and Tenn pence Currant lawfull
                               Money of Said Province of Pensilvania which to him he oweth & from him
                               he unjustly Detaines
And whereupon ye Said John by Michael Earle his Attry Saith that whereas ye Said Patrick
on ye Sixteenth day of March Annoq Domi. 1699 in Said Province of Pensilvania within ye
Jurisdiction of this Court by his Certaine bill or writing obligry Sealed wth. his Seale as his act &
deed delivered and here in Court brought whose date is ye Same day & yeare did acknowledge
himselfe to be owing & Stand Justly indebted unto ye Said John ye Afsd. Sume of Seaven pounds
fourteen Shillings & Tenn pence Currant Lawfull Silver Money as Afsd. to be paid unto ye Said
John his heires Exrs Adrs or Certaine Attry and to ye which payment well & Truly to be made &
done ye Said Patrick did bind & oblidge himselfe his heires Exrs & Admrs to pay ye Afsd. Silver
money to ye Said John at ye house of Mr. Patrick Robinson in Philladelphia in ye Afsd.
Province of Pensilvania at or before ye Tenth day of Octor. next ensuing ye date of ye Same
bill yet notwithstand ye Said Patrick ye Said Sume of 7lb: 14s-10d Silver money as Afsd. according
to ye Tenr. of ye Same bill unto ye Said John he hath not paid altho often demanded by ye Same to
pay he hath denyed and refused and Still doth deny & refuse & unjustly detaine to ye damage of ye
Said John 15lb-9s-8d And thereupon he brings this Suite    Earle pr qr. pleadges &a. Jno Doe

Creagh    Oyer of Plaintf. Attorneys power and ye obligacon on which ye Action is grounded
ads                                                                     Macklin pr Defendt.
Dubroise    The which bill or obligacon being proved by ye oath of Thomas Browne one of ye evidences

   to ye Said bill & ye deposition of Jno Browne ye other evidence being endorsed as followeth
Kent Ss    Personally Appeared before me John Robinson one of his Majties Justices of ye peace for

   ye County of Kent one of ye Countys Annexed to ye Province of Pensilvania ye within

   menconed John Browne who being Sworne upon ye holly Evangelists of almighty
(locus Sigily)    God declared that he Saw ye within menconed Patrick Creagh Signe Seale & deliver

   ye within Instrumt. as his Act & deed As Wittness my hand & Seale of ye Sd County

   this 20. day of Janry 1700 And that he Said John Browne Saw Thomas Brown

   Signe as an Evidence to ye within Said Instrument as Wittness my hand and

   Seale of ye County ~~~                           Jno Robinson
Upon which proves Judgt. is awarded for ye Said Plaintf. ast ye Said Defendt. for Said Debt &
Cost of Suite Accrewing

Therefore it is Considered by ye Court here vizt. this 28 day of Novemr. Annoq Domi.
1701 That ye Said Plaintf. John Dubroise of Kent County in ye Province of Pensilvania doe
recover from ye Said Defendt. Patrick Creagh as well ye Sume of Seaven pounds fourteen
Shillings & Tenn pence Currant Lawfull Silver Money of Said Province of Pensilvania as
alsoe ye Sume of Three hundred Twenty & one pounds of Tobo. cost of Suite & ye Said Patrick in
