of Prince George's County being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1963 Edition and 1967
Supplement, as added by Chapter 738 of the Acts of 1971)
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
Article 17
44.2
(a) The County Council of Prince George's County
[is hereby authorized to] MAY levy and impose a tax of
not exceeding [three per centum (3%)] TEN PERCENT on all
gross amounts of money paid to the owners or operators of
hotels and motels in Prince George's County beginning
July 1, [1971] 1975, by transient guests or tenants for
renting, using or occupying a room or rooms in [said]
hotels and motels IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY to be paid
and collected pursuant to [such] rules and regulations
[as may be] adopted by the County Council.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

CHAPTER 119
(Senate Bill 110)
AN ACT concerning making appropriations for the support
of the State Government and for the aid of sundry schools
and institutions and for other purposes for the fiscal
year ending June 30, 1976.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That subject to the provisions hereinafter set
forth and subject to the Public General Laws of Maryland
relating to the Budget procedure, the several amounts
hereinafter specified, or so much thereof as shall be
sufficient to accomplish the purposes designated, are
hereby appropriated and authorized to be disbursed for
salaries, wages, technical and special fees and all other
expenses for the departments, boards, commissions and
officers of the State, and to the respective schools and
institutions, and for the several purposes specified for
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1975, and ending June
30, 1976, as hereinafter indicated.
