Senate Bill No. 2—By the President (Code Revision Commission) :

An Act to add a new Article to the Annotated Code of Maryland, to be
designated and known as the "Agriculture Article", to revise, restate, and
recodify the laws of this State pertaining to agriculture, including those
dealing with the organization, structure, operations, duties, and authority
of the Department of Agriculture .and its offices, employees, and units;
concerning definitions, regulation of livestock and poultry, regulation of
livestock and poultry products, pesticide and disease control, commercial
feed and fertilizer, tobacco, soil conservation, regulation of seeds, grass and
noxious weeds, promotion and identification of agricultural products,
weights and measures; dealing generally with agriculture in this State and
the laws relating thereto; and providing for the enforcement of those laws
and penalties for their violation; to repeal Art. 41, "Governor—Executive
and Administrative Departments", Sections 430-437 inclusive; Art. 43,
"Health", Sections 150-152B inclusive, 153-157 inclusive, and 197-1
through 197-26 inclusive; Art. 48, "Inspections", Sections 9-21 inclusive,
23-43 inclusive, 49-69 inclusive, 74-85 inclusive, 87-110 inclusive, 116-166D
inclusive, and 184-205 inclusive; Art. 66C, "Natural Resources", Sections
47A, 49, 51, 54, 55, 59-110A inclusive, 110A-1 through 110A-10 inclusive,
412-414 inclusive, 416-449 inclusive, and 451-484 inclusive; and Art. 97,
"Weights and Measures", Sections 1-4 inclusive, 6-13 inclusive, 15-26
inclusive, 28, 30-45 inclusive, 52-63 inclusive, 66-97 inclusive; to trans-
fer Section 450 of Art. 66C, Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replace-
ment Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Natural Resources", subtitle
"Dairies", to Art. 27 of the Code, title and subtitle, "Crimes and Punish-
ments", subheading "False Pretenses, Bad Checks, etc."; to transfer Sec-
tions 48 and 50 of said Art. 66C, title "Natural Resources", subtitle
"Agriculture", subheading "In General" from the Code to the session
laws; to enact a new Section 64A of Art. 89B of the Code, title "State
Roads", under the new subtitle "Cattle Crossings"; to provide for the
effect, construction, and effective date of provisions of the Act; to provide
for the continuation in office of certain personnel and the retention of
certain property, credits, and obligations of certain agencies; and to make
the Act an emergency measure.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Economic
Affairs.

han:

A BILL ENTITLED
AN ACT concerning

Maryland Sports Complex Authority—Abolished

FOR the purpose of abolishing the Maryland Sports Complex Authority
and providing for a disposition of certain assets, liabilities and other
matters.

BY repealing

Article 41—Governor—Executive and Administrative Departments
Section 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 117, 148, 149, 150, 151, 152,

152A, 152B, 152C, 152D, 152E, 152F, 152G, 152H, and 1521
Annotated Code of Maryland
