AMENDMENTS TO THE AMENDMENTS TO
HOUSE BILL NO. 15

Offered from the floor by Delegate Lee:
Amendment No. 1—

In lines 4 through 6 of Amendment No. 1 by the Committee, strike all
of the words beginning with the word "authorizing" in line 4 down to
and including the word "persons," in line 6 and insert in lieu thereof
the following:

"providing the Governor shall require certain persons in State serv-
ice to disclose certain information concerning their financial affairs,".

Amendment No. 2—

In lines 4 through 10 of Amendment No. 54 by the Committee, strike
all of the language beginning with the words "THE GOVERNOR" in
line 4 down to and including the words "STATE GOVERNMENT," in
line 20 and insert in lieu thereof the following new paragraph:

"THE GOVERNOR SHALL REQUIRE PERSONS HOLDING
STATE POSITIONS, COMPENSATED IN WHOLE OR IN PART
BY PUBLIC FUNDS AND NON-COMPENSATED GUBERNA-
TORIAL APPOINTEES, OTHER THAN THE OFFICERS AND
JUDGES COVERED UNDER SECTIONS 29-3 AND 29-9, TO DIS-
CLOSE PERIODICALLY AS PUBLIC RECORDS, SUCH RELE-
VANT INFORMATION CONCERNING THEIR FINANCIAL AF-
FAIRS AS SET FORTH IN SECTIONS 29-5 AND 29-6 TO PRO-
MOTE THE CONTINUED TRUST AND CONFIDENCE OF THE
PEOPLE IN THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF THE STATE GOV-
ERNMENT.".
