An Act to add a new Article to the Annotated Code of Maryland, to be
designated and known as the "Agriculture Article," to revise, restate, and
recodify the laws of this State pertaining to agriculture, including those
dealing with the organization, structure, operations, duties, and authority
of the Department of Agriculture and its offices, employees, and units;
concerning definitions, regulation of livestock and poultry, regulation of
livestock and poultry products, pesticide and disease control, commercial
feed and fertilizer, tobacco, soil conservation, regulation of seeds, grass
and noxious weeds, promotion and identification of agricultural products,
weights and measures; dealing generally with agriculture in this State and
the laws relating thereto; and providing for the enforcement of those
laws and penalties for their violation; to repeal Article 41, "Governor—
Executive and Administrative Departments," Sections 430-437 inclusive;
Article 43, "Health," Sections 150-152B inclusive, 153-157 inclusive, and
197-1 through 197-26 inclusive; Article 48, "Inspections," Sections 9-21
