(E)    IMPOUNDING WATER---IF THE OPERATOR PROPOSES

TO IMPOUND WATER TO PROVIDE A LAKE OR POND FOR
WILDLIFE, RECREATIONAL, OR OTHER WATER SUPPLY
PURPOSES, HE SHALL FILE A FORMAL REQUEST WITH THE
DEPARTMENT AND RECEIVE APPROVAL BEFORE THE POND OR
LAKE IS CRESTED.

as Article 66C, section 665 (e) of the Code.
The only changes made are in style.

(F)     ALTERNATIVE PLANS FOR RECLAMATION;
COMPLETION OF BACKFILLING.—AN OPERATOR, WITH THE
WRITTEN APPROVAL OF THE LANDOWNER, EXCEPT WHERE A
LEASE IN EXISTENCE ON JUNE 1, 1967, DID NOT PROVIDE OR
PERMIT, MAY PROPOSE AN ALTERNATIVE PLAN FOR
RECLAMATION IF THE LAND CAN BE USED FOR SUITABLE
PURPOSES. THE ALTERNATE PLAN SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO
THE DIRECTOR OF THE BUREAU AS PART OF THE MINING AND
RECLAMATION PLAN.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears
as Article 66C, section 665 (f) of the Code.
The last sentence is proposed for deletion
and made new subsection (g). The only
other changes made are in style.

(G)    COMPLETION OF RECLAMATION.—ALL BACKFILLING
DESCRIBED IN THE APPROVED RECLAMATION PLAN SHALL BE
COMPLETED BEFORE BACKFILLING EQUIPMENT IS MOVED FROM
THE OPERATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
derived from the last sentence of Article
66C, section 665(f).

7-509. COMPLETION REPORT; RESERVATION FOR DEEP
MINING OR OTHER USE; LIMITATION ON INITIATION OF DEEP
MINING.

(A) FILING PERIOD; FORM AND CONTENTS; MINING
AND RECLAMATION FINAL REPORT.—WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER
THE OPERATION IS FINISHED OR ABANDONED, THE OPERATOR
SHALL FILE WITH THE BUREAU, A COMPLETION REPORT ON A
FORM THE BUREAU FURNISHES, WHICH IDENTIFIES THE
OPERATION AND STATES THE AREA OF LAND AFFECTED BY
OPEN-PIT MINING, AND STATING WHETHER THE OPERATOR
