7-501. DEFINITIONS.

(A)   IN THIS SUBTITLE, THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE
THE MEANINGS INDICATED.

(B)   "ABANDONED" MEANS AN OPERATION WHERE NO COAL
HAS BEEN PRODUCED OR OVERBURDEN REMOVED FOR A PERIOD
OF SIX MONTHS.

(C)   "AUGER MINING" MEANS THE MECHANICAL REMOVAL

AUGER MINING, AND INCLUDES METHODS SUCH AS DRIFT
MINING, SHAFT MINING, AND INCLINED SLOPE MINING.
