HAS BEEN PLACED IN CONDITION TO OPERATE, AN INSPECTION
OF THE ENTIRE MINE SHALL BE MADE BY STATE AND FEDERAL
COAL MINE INSPECTORS. IF THE INSPECTION DISCLOSES ANY
DANGEROUS CONDITION, THE MINE MAY NOT RESUME OPERATION
UNTIL THE CONDITION IS CORRECTED.

7-450. MINE ACCIDENTS.
(A) KEEPING EQUIPMENT FOR CAPE OF INJURED
EMPLOYEES.—ADEQUATE EQUIPMENT SHALL BE KEPT AT EACH
MINE NEAR THE MOUTH. THE EQUIPMENT SHALL BE
SUFFICIENT FOR THE NUMBER OF PERSONS EMPLOYED, AS
REQUIRED BY THE BUREAU. IT SHALL BE USED IN CARING
FOR ANY PERSON INJURED IN OR ABOUT THE MINE, AND FOR
TAKING HIM TO HIS HOME OR A HOSPITAL.

(B) MEDICAL ATTENTION.—IF A PERSON RECEIVES ANY
INJURY IN OR ABOUT ANY MINE, THE MINE FOREMAN SHALL
IMMEDIATELY SEE THAT THE INJURED PERSON RECEIVES
ADEQUATE MEDICAL ATTENTION.

The reference to "surgical" is proposed for
deletion because it is encompassed within
the term "medical". The only other changes
made are in style.
(C) RESUSCITATING AND RESCUE OUTFITS.—-IF THE
GOVERNOR, ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE COMMISSIONER OF
LABOR AND INDUSTRY APPROVES, THE BUREAU MAY PROVIDE
AND MAINTAIN AT A CONVENIENT POINT WITHIN THE COAL
MINING FIELDS, AT LEAST TWO COMPLETE RESUSCITATING
OUTFITS AND TWO FULL RESCUE OUTFITS, OF THE TYPE THE
UNITED STATES BUREAU OF MINES RECOMMENDS AND THE
BUREAU APPROVES. THE OUTFITS SHALL BE AVAILABLE FOR
THE INSTRUCTION OF RESCUE CREWS AND FOR IMMEDIATE USE
IF NEEDED IN RESCUE WORK.
