WORKING PLANS FOR CUTTING AND MANAGEMENT OF HIS FOREST
10 THE BOARD FOR APPROVAL. THESE PLANS SHALL BE FOR
THE PERIOD PRESCRIBED BY THE DEPARTMENT. THE
DEPARTMENT SHALL FURNISH THE NECESSARY FORMS. FREE
ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE OF THE DEPARTMENT IS AVAILABLE
TO FOREST OWNERS AS FAR AS POSSIBLE; AND

(6) MAKE APPLICATION FOR INSPECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears
as the second paragraph of Article 66C,
section 396 of the Code. The sentence
proposed for deletion dealing with appeals
duplicates present Article 41, sections
236-237 (proposed sections 1-106 and 1-107
of this Article). The only other changes
made are in style.

(C)    APPLICATION FOR INSPECTION.-—WITHIN THREE

YEARS, BUT NOT LESS THAN 30 DAYS PRECEDING A CUTTING,
THE OWNER OF WOODLANDS OR HIS AGENT MAY APPLY TO THE
BOARD FOR INSPECTION OF THE WOODLANDS PROPOSED TO BE
CUT. THE APPLICATION SHALL BE MADE TO THE BOARD OF
THE DISTRICT IN WHICH THE LANDS ARE LOCATED, AND SHALL
STATE THE LOCATION OF THE WOODLAND, ITS APPROXIMATE
ACREAGE, AND THE PROPOSED CUTTING PLAN.

as Article 66C, section 396 (a) of the
Code. The only changes made are in style.

(D)        EXAMINATION OF APPLICATION FOR

INSPECTION.—WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF THE

APPLICATION REQUIRED [[BY THIS SECTION]] UNDER
SUBSECTION (C), THE BOARD SHALL MAKE OR CAUSE TO BE
MADE BY A QUALIFIED PERSON, AN EXAMINATION OF THE
WOODLANDS COVERED IN THE APPLICATION. THE BOARD ,
WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME, SHALL ADVISE THE OWNER OR
HIS AGENT, IN WRITING, OF THE MOST PRACTICAL AND
SATISFACTORY METHOD OF CUTTING THE WOODLAND AND ASSENT
TO THE METHOD FOUND BEST ADAPTED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears
as the final paragraph of Article 66C,
section 396 of the Code. "Or persons" is
proposed for deletion in light of Article
1, section 8 of the Code which states that
the singular includes the plural unless the
context is unreasonable. The only other
changes made are in style.
