The only changes made are in style.

(L) PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF SECTION; SEARCH AND
SEIZURE. -

(1)   EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (F),
ANY PERSON WHO VIOLATES THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SECTION, OR ANY RULE OR REGULATION ISSUED PURSUANT TO
IT IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION IS
SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $1,000.

(2)   ANY OFFICER EMPLOYED AND AUTHORIZED BY
THE SECRETARY, OR ANY STATE, COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WITHIN THE STATE MAY EXECUTE A
WARRANT TO SEARCH FOR AND SEIZE ANY GOODS, BUSINESS
RECORDS, MERCHANDISE, OR FISH CAUGHT, EMPLOYED, USED,
OR POSSESSED IN CONNECTION WITH A VIOLATION OF THIS
SECTION. THE OFFICER OR AGENT MAY ARREST ANY PERSON
WITHOUT A WARRANT IF HE HAS PROBABLE CAUSE TO BELIEVE
THE PERSON IS COMMITING IN HIS PRESENCE OR VIEW A
VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION OR ANY RULE OR REGULATION
ISSUED PURSUANT TO IT. THE OFFICER OR AGENT WHO HAS
MADE AN ARREST OF A PERSON IN CONNECTION WITH ANY
VIOLATION MAY SEARCH THE PERSON OR [[BUSINESS
RECORDS]] PREMISES AT THE TIME OF ARREST AND SEIZE ANY
FISH, RECORDS, OR PROPERTY TAKEN, USED OR EMPLOYED IN
CONNECTION WITH THE VIOLATION.

(3)   AN OFFICER OR AGENT OF THE DEPARTMENT
SHALL HOLD ANY GOODS, MERCHANDISE, FISH, OR RECORDS
WHICH HAVE BEEN SEIZED AND DISPOSE OF THEM PURSUANT TO
§§4-1203 AND 4-1204 OF THIS TITLE. HOWEVER, THE
SECRETARY MAY DIRECT THE TRANSFER OF FISH SEIZED TO A
QUALIFIED ZOOLOGICAL, EDUCATIONAL, OR SCIENTIFIC
INSTITUTION FOR SAFEKEEPING, WITH COSTS ASSESSABLE TO
THE DEFENDANT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears
as Article 66C, section 125(d) of the Code.
The term "police officer" is proposed for
deletion and "law enforcement officer" is
substituted therefor to maintain
consistency with the terminology used in
other sections. The words "law enforcement
officer" are used throughout this title to
refer to all law enforcement bodies
authorized to enforce the provisions of
this title, that is, the Natural Resources
police force and state and local police.
The reference to "business records" is
deleted and "premises" is substituted
