484 LAWS OF MARYLAND [Ch. 4
WHO POSSESSES ANY MONUMENT PREVIOUSLY PLACED, OR
PREPARED TO BE PLACED, ON ANY STATE BOUNDARY, UPON
DEMAND BY THE SURVEY, SHALL SURRENDER AND DELIVER THE
MONUMENT TO THE SURVEY.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
the first part of Article 66C, section 32
of the Code. The penalty provision is
proposed for deletion and placed as a last
section of this subtitle. The only other
changes made are in style.
2-405. ENFORCEMENT OF SUBTITLE.
THE NATURAL RESOURCES POLICE OFFICERS AND FOREST
OR PARK WARDENS OF THE STATE HAVE THE POWER OF ARREST
AND OTHER POWERS NECESSARY TO ENFORCE THIS [[SECTION]]
SUBTITLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
the next—to—last sentence of Article 66C,
section 32 of the Code. A reference to the
Natural Resources Police Force is added in
light of Chapter 348, Acts of 1972 which
specifically charged the Force with
enforcing the provisions of this article.
This reference to "park wardens" is added
because they are established by Section
5—206 to complement the forest wardens.
Lastly, the phrase "other conservation
officers" is proposed for deletion because
no other conservation officers exist other
than the ones enumerated. The only other
changes made are in style.
2-406. EXCEPTION TO SUBTITLE.
THIS SECTION DOES NOT REQUIRE EITHER THE MARYLAND
HISTORICAL SOCIETY OR THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF
PENNSYLVANIA TO SURRENDER OR DELIVER TO THE DEPARTMENT
THE MASON AND DIXON MONUMENT PLACED IN THE CUSTODY OF
EACH SOCIETY BY THE MUTUAL CONSENT OF THE STATE AND
THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA IN 1902.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
the last sentence of Article 66C, section
32 of the Code. The only changes made are
in style.
2-407. PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF SUBTITLE.
